It has long been believed that the best way is soothing massage to relieve muscle pain after exercise. New research shows that it only needs more practice.
The general belief is that massage is better, but that’s not true – says Lars Andersen, author of the study published in the journal “Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research,” arguing that massage and exercise give the same results.
It is not clear how massage or exercise help to reduce muscle pain, but it is believed to reduce the metabolic byproducts of exercise-such as lactic acid.
Professor Andersen recommended to relieve pain in muscles light exercise. The effect is moderate and provides only temporary relief, and is useful to the exercise does not require a trained therapist, time and money.
