Beetroot is a food that is known for its healing properties, and today we bring you a recipe for beetroot hummus that will help regenerate the liver.
While you spread beetroot may not sound too tasty, when you try it you will see the opposite. This spread just have to try it, if not for taste then for all medicinal properties that brings.
The beet is a vegetable packed full of nutritional properties of fiber and antioxidant substances that support liver health, and is famous for the way it enhances the process of detoxification.
Ingredients:
- 2 medium-sized beets or 3 less
- 1 can chickpeas
- Juice of ½ lemon 1
- 5 cloves of garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup water
In sauce pan and pour over the beets with water and cook until tender, about 40 minutes. After being cooked, beets, wash under running cold water, peel and cut into larger pieces.
Add all ingredients to blender, turn and leave it to turn into a creamy spread.
Serve with chips of vegetables, rice crackers or fresh bread.
