Just a few steps away from a perfectly delicious rice.
Cooked rice is an excellent side dish to meat and vegetable dishes, especially goes well with Asian cuisine.
If you want to complement the taste of this standard side, prepare it with coconut milk, lemongrass and ginger.
Ingredients for 6 persons:
- 400 g rice
- 200 ml caned coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 stalk lemongrass of 15 cm (crushed)
- 1 peeled ginger root (about 2.5 cm in size)
- 1 fresh parsley, peeled and sliced for decoration
Preparation:
Rinse the rice three times using plain fresh water.
In a pot with an appropriate cap put rice, coconut milk, salt, lemon grass, ginger and 300 ml of water. Stir to unite all the ingredients until it begins to boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes with a lid.
Remove the pot from the stove-top and keep it covered for another 10 minutes to steam further heat-treated rice.
Stir the rice with a fork, remove from the pot of ginger and lemon grass and serve immediately with pieces of fresh parsley.
