The summer heat is bearable on the sea and the beach, but in the city we are continually looking for ways to refresh ourselves. The recommendation is to avoid greasy and fried foods and other heavy foods, aerated juices, alcohol, look for shade, wear light and airy clothing and avoid direct exposure to sunlight from 10 to 17 o’clock. No matter where you are or what you are eating, you can always find the savory in a homey and healthy ice tea.
Making ice tea is simple and has an infinite number of variations. You can prepare it from herbal teas and fruit teas, sweetened or unaltered, or in combination with freshly squeezed citrus fruits.
Pour four cups of hot water over two tea bags and leave for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and sweeten with honey or sugar. Stir ice cubes to cool the tea. Add sliced slices of lemon, lime or other citrus fruit as desired, and store in the refrigerator.
Fruit iced tea
In prepared ice tea you can peel pineapple, peach and kiwi and leave a few hours to let the fruit leave the aroma. Then pour tea, and fry the fruit and give the body additional refreshment.
Strawberry ice tea
For this summer drink, only a few ingredients are needed.
Make ice tea base as per the previous instructions. Add 3 tablespoons of honey or powdered sugar. Pour 4 to 6 tablespoons of lemon juice. Make strawberries and chop. When the tea is fully cooled, add the cheeses, stir and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
